INSIDE THE COUNTRIES OF SOCIALISM
THE DEMOCRATIC PEOPLE’S REPUBLIC OF KOREA (DPRK)

In July each year, two dates are marked in the DPRK:
- 8 July is Memorial Day for the Great Leader Comrade Kim Il Sung,
- 27 July is Victory Day in the Great Fatherland Liberation War (1950 – 1953)

On 8 July 1994, the Great Leader Comrade Kim Il Sung died. This day in the DPRK is marked as a memorial day about the service of the great Leader before the Korean People, about his invaluable contribution in the liberation of Korea from the Japanese enslavers in the flow of an almost 50 year protracted guerilla struggle, about the Korean People’s Army and revolutionary party – the Workers’ Party of Korea formed by him, of a socialist state – the DPRK, the first socialist state in North-East Asia, about the start under his leadership of socialist construction and the victory in an unequal armed struggle in the Korean War against the American aggressors.
The thesis of the Juche idea was developed by him, having as a consequence become a well worked out theory of the Juche political ideology of the socialist state, thanks to the systemization and further development of it by Comrade Kim Jong IL.
The thesis of the Songun policy was developed by Kim Il Sung, having become the state policy of the DPRK in the most complex of time of severe confrontation between the DPRK and the USA since January 1965. The Songun policy guaranteed the building of a nuclear defense shield of the DPRK, and forever buried the claims by the USA to carry out a pre-emptive strike against the DPRK. True, the South Korean general Kim Tae- Young from the new government of the new president of South Korea, Lee Myung Bak, in his servile ambition to serve the US, declared in March 2008, the possibility of carrying out such an attack on the DPRK. But nobody either took any notice of this declaration or took it seriously. The time for “scaring” the DPRK has long since gone into the past.
The policy of Songun has become a powerful factor on the progressive development of the economy of the DPRK and the growth in the prosperity of the Koreans.
The memory of their leader, Comrade Kim Il Sung, is preserved very carefully by Koreans in museums, in the numerous memorial statues to military and labor glory and in the memorial Kimsusan Palace, where people go to pay their respects to the embalmed body of the Great Leader – Father of the Nation.
The best memory of Kim Jong Il – is in the life of modern day Korea, the excellent new city of Pyongyang, rebuilt from the ashes of American aggression in the period of the Korean War, and presently one of the most beautiful cities in the world. These are the new comfortable housing blocks, palaces of culture, huge sports stadiums and tall hotels in towns and cosy blocks of single storey farmsteads and farms houses in agricultural cooperatives, houses of culture, libraries, sports complexes and stadiums, a number of new factories and plants, new asphalted roads and new railway, drawing the map of the DPRK in all directions with a multitude of hydro constructions, damns and hydro-electric stations. There is all this and much more that are of great interest and value and too much to list here. The DPRK has broad contacts with many countries across the world, carries out cultural exchanges and acquaints the peoples of the world with Korean culture via art exhibitions overseas. In February 2008, the New York Symphonic Philharmonic Orchestra played in Pyongyang. In 2005, the world renowned academic ensemble of Yegor Moiseev together with its founder, played in all the major towns and cities of the DPRK and also at specially built open-air stages at leading construction sites in the country, in front of work collectives. The ensemble Arian is called a miracle of light by many and its showing always has great popularity amongst foreigners. Many of its viewers are Koreans living in South Korea as well as many Japanese.
The DPRK is steadily building socialism, and envies nobody. It is successfully and independently solving all the tasks which are placed before it. A new highly moral and highly cultured generation of young people are being brought up and educated, who attitude to elders is one of respect, and who know their difficult history well. Koreans are carefully preserving the relics of their past – memorials of the epoch of the DPRK and relics of Korea’s five thousand year old history. The young people are educated in the spirit of loyalty to the cause of the Great Leader and his worthy successor, Comrade Kim Jong IL. The slogan – “The Great Leader is always with us!” is as actual today as it ever was.
We wish this excellent country of socialist youthfulness (60 years since the formation of the DPRK, that will be marked in September – a youthful age for a state) new grandiose successes on the path of building prosperous and flourishing state.

On 25 July 1953, the Korean War ended - the armed aggression of the American war machine, organized with the support of armed contingents of a number of imperialist states. The war ended with the signing of just an armistice agreement. The USA up until today categorically opposes any change in status of mutual relations with the DPRK (neither war nor peace), probably ever more hoping for military revenge against the DPRK. This so-called “armistice” creates a certain degree of tension in North-East Asia. In the history of the USA, the ending of the Korean War with the signing of an armistice is a sole act of a disgraceful fact of failure, of the loss of their military campaign against the young socialist state. George Bush’s foreign policy in the USA today is judged to be one which has gone completely bankrupt, domestically, as well as at the international level (Yugoslavia, Afghanistan, Iraq and also Iran and the entire policy on the Middle East). The world community sees the situation in North-East Asia in the relations with the DPRK just like the complete failure in the policy threats and bullying with a nuclear truncheon by the USA.
The mass million strong demonstrations by the population of South Korea in June against the policy of the new president, bears witness to the unpopularity of the only recently elected to power Lee Men Bak and the crisis in the government. This signifies that the policy developed by Comrade Kim Jong Il on merging the two Koreas will definitely continue, despite opposition from the USA and their puppets in power in South Korea.
The Korean War – 1950 – 1953 was a brutal and difficult war for the young socialist state defying the military armada of the USA and its satellites, in many times outweighing the forces of the DPRK. But, thanks to the courage of the Korean people who having defended their independence, their future and the free development of the nation, the Korean people gained victory. This made it possible to continue the only just begun and interrupted by the war, socialist construction in the country, despite immeasurable hardships. The unity of society around the Leader, the monolithic unity of the people and the army – this is that strength without which it would have been impossible to have gained victory over any invading army. Unfortunately, because of USA, the question on the reunification of the nation which has been divided along the 38th parallel remains unsolved.
We warmly congratulate the heroic Korean people and their military-political headquarters headed by the Chairman of the National Defence Committee of the DPRK Comrade Kim Jong Il on the 55th Anniversary since the victory in the Great Fatherland Liberation War and wish them success in the construction of a prosperous and flourishing socialist state.

WHAT LIES BENEATH THE MESSAGE TO THE NATION BY THE PRESIDENT OF BELARUS?
On 29th April 2008, the president of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko appealed with his annual message to the people of Belarus and the National Assembly. The traditional questions that were touched upon and the content contained in the message were to a certain degree, puzzling by its name alone: “A healthy state – means a person’s prosperity, civil accord and purposefulness of a nation”
Straight away a question arises: why suddenly have the bourgeois rulers begun to concern themselves with the health of the state?
Although for propaganda purposes and popularization of the policies of the ruling regime, - this is a fully understandable slogan style, calculated for a surface, non-aware perception of events that take place. And it’s true, nobody with a grain of common sense will oppose the slogan about a person’s prosperity and civil accord. An acquaintance with the published message can allow one to draw a conclusion: in the content of the message there appears to be reflected problematic questions to which the health of the state are based on. However, they were touched upon in a biased way with the message itself laid out in the form of best wishes, predictions and perspectives. The ideas in the message and also the arguments in their favour were unconvincing. We were shown a special view on the structure of modern day Belarus society, as a homogeneous social jumble in which no social processes are objectively ripening, and that the most important events in the political and economic life of the country are initiated by the president, and are practically solved thanks to his decrees and instructions.
However, if one bases oneself on the dialectical approach to judging the phenomena in social life, then the map of the situation in Belarus presents a completely different portrait compared to that which is reflected in the presidential message. From the theory of Marxism-Leninism, it follows that his policies, the structures of the state power bodies and other state attributes are conditioned by the formation state.
The Republic of Belarus at present is a bourgeois state, in which private property has been legalized over the means of production, and land and property is now bought and sold. On the basis of property ownership, society in Belarus has now been split into haves and have nots, into employers and hired workers. Classes have arisen which have opposing, antagonistic material and other vital interests. It is fully understandable that the achievement of accord among these social antipodes in the conditions of bourgeois Belarus is, in principle, impossible.
Today it is obvious to everyone, that owners and proprietors of firms and share holder societies interested in gaining maximum profits, are using as a means to increase them, wage arrears, pay freezes and pay cuts of hired workers. Only the bare minimum is used for the health and safety of workers and employees, and then even zero is spent on health and worthy holidays of their social partners (read as – workers) and the members of their families.
At the same time, the masters of the “new life” themselves arrange their personal life according to European standards and rest at the world’s best holiday resorts.
Where then, it is asked, under such a situation is the objective material base for true accord between the hired workers and enterprise owners? With such myths, the perspectives of accord in society are being presented with the view on this problem from a political-rights point of view.
In the memories of the older and middle-aged generation still remain those habitual for the period of socialism understandings of social justice, equality of rights and obligations of citizens of the republic, including the entire spectra including social, political, economic and civil rights.
These are those fundamental basis of civil accord about which the present day bourgeois power prefers not to touch upon. But in practice, other fully understandable and natural processes in the division of property are underway. The propaganda gabble in the spirit of “we are wise, we did not allow the uncontrolled privatization to occur” – this is simply a smoke screen which is gradually clearing. The working people themselves are gradually starting to feel each day that they are being deprived of their economic rights to a share in the common wealth, and they are ever more losing their political and social rights. For everyone, it has already become obvious on whose field the bourgeois power is playing. The best proof of that lies in the contractual system of hiring labour power. It has made the working man standing in front of the hirer/employer practically deprived of any rights and defenceless. They can be fired at any time without any reason or under any pretext, and no trade union or court judge will defend the rights of the worker before the owner of the enterprise.
If one compares the real state and socio-political life of Belarus with the corresponding key thesis in the presidential message, then we see diametrically opposing categories and evaluations. In the message it clearly states: “Our greatest service is that Belarus society has no chronic diseases. We had enough wisdom and tolerance not to allow it to split, become disconnected and stratified. We have become a united, energetic, strong and strong-spirited nation”. Here, we are dealing with a rare case when the declared important conclusions and thesis, softly speaking, are not in full measure confirmed by the other points in this message.
Concerning for example, the political sphere, we found in the message the assertion about the fact that trade unions, the Belarus republican youth alliance, veteran and women’s organizations are pillars of civil society. There is still a society of defenders of the consumer rights, sports federations and military clubs, each with their own specific interests – this is firstly. Secondly, this has turned out to be insufficient for the unity of society. Rejecting rumours about the formation of a pro-president party of power, the president nevertheless, noted that if by hint, somewhere this organization was to be formed (maybe a party), it should not be hindered in any way by healthy forces. According to the opinion of the author of the message, everything has to take place on the initiative of below and without administrative hindrance, but only with one tiny detail….., that this party must pass a test. Questions: to whom, when, and what is the pass mark were not touched upon.
Thus according to the material in the message, we have a picture of unity and accord in the political sphere of Belarus society with the simultaneous presence of healthy and we assume unhealthy forces, and also factors which may hinder these healthy forces in operation.
Out of the above, a conclusion must obviously be drawn: what understanding of purposefulness of the nation does the ruling bourgeois regime have in Belarus? The main thing on part of organizations and parties, is the support of that policy which is being implemented across the country today. In whose interests lies this policy, is a question that has been already been argued out.
In the message it is directly stated that the main role in the field of economics will be assigned to a reliable, initiating economic subject. About the role of the working man in all this, the direct producer of material wealth, nothing was even mentioned anywhere in the message. One does not need to explain the material aspect of the significance of man’s prosperity, more so, that of a working man, living off a wage.
The president admitted in his message that he had heard many grievances concerning the question of income tax which is not orientated towards current wage levels, the result of which ordinary workers are having to pay almost half their wages in the form of income tax. I would like to ask as to why businessmen and entrepreneurs are not paying half of their income and profits in the form of taxes?
The president explained that the heavy tax burden on workers was down to the maliciousness of mythic “specialists” who, like himself, talk about everything, but have no desire to change the situation. And at the end of the thesis, he said that order needs to be brought about in this area. Who will be doing this, and who will be responsible for it and in what time scale, remains a mystery.
But when it comes to talking about taxing the bourgeoisie, a completely different style and other approaches are demonstrated. Here the task is put firmly and concretely, that the tax system for our (read – bourgeois economy and its main figures) must become easily workable along all parameters. In order that it gives an incentive to tax payers not to evade taxes and other dues and not to have to force them, “hapless”, “grey plans” need to been drawn up with the aim of concealing taxable earnings. Here, the prime-minister directly gives the order for the practical realization of these measures, which is for him, task number one.
Who after this will complain about not having power for the people? For the people, yes, and with people, with property, in a solid business, in finance and bank structures.
But either way so to speak, the ordinary people must also not be forgotten. The state has shown a great number of concerns about their physical well-being and social prosperity. Concern about the health of the people has been raised as priority state policy. It has been announced that positions lost on providing access for all categories of the population to medicine have been revived. The state has been having big ideas on the general clinical examination of the population, however, so to say, on public beginnings. The prime minister and minister for health have been warned that billions will not be allocated towards this.
Besides this, in the message it ascertains that now only one in ten school children in the country have normal health, and 30% of them are chronically ill. We are talking here about children of that category of the population which were born in the post-Soviet era.
On the background of a weakened gene pool of the nation of the reproductive age group, prospects of a three-fold growth in the size of the population of Belarus are perceived as fantastic and adventurous. Such an impression is reinforced by the fact that the many declarative statements that have been made about state concern about the health of the population, are annulled by an indication in the message that the main thing in this business is determined by each individually.
As is well known, in the realization of state events on providing social well-being to the population, it did not pass without confusion. The entire adult population, and especially those who have retired, since the end of 2007 have had the chance to feel more acutely the feeling of “care and support” of the state. The act on regulating of welfare benefits has become a true test on the ability of the authorities to generally count on the adopted decisions and displaying balance with this.
No one needs convincing that for the old age pensioners, the monetization of benefits on public transport, communal services, prescriptions and other payments has substantially hit them hard in their pockets. The serious social unrest, compelled in the end, the president to figuratively speaking, go back and correct his decision. A decree has been issued on the return to pensioners the right to free travel on public transport during the summer season. And then, everything turns back around on its spiral.
Because of this, it is very interesting to turn attention to the text in the message and look at how the unexpected logical constructions have been built by the president. “We have had to adopt a very unpopular measure – we have turned away from that cumbersome and costly benefit system…..the result of which one person gets something he does not need. The other way is where a person is deprived of the basic essentials of life.” I would like to note that alas, Mr. President, such a formula is full of mistakes, like at the stage of providing benefits, as well as especially under their abolishment. Indeed, by order, the benefits were abolished, someone does not need them, but then, to others, they are of vital importance. This is why it was epidemic.
In connection with the above situation – questions arise about the social benefits and “who does and who does not need them”, as well as according to what criteria the designers of the abolishment of benefits counted on giving who, how much. And would it have been beneficial for the state to use these criteria- little measures for the bankers, financers, industrialists, entrepreneurs and other such initiators of economic subjects, having levied a progressive tax on their profits.
But one needs to assume that the president won’t burden “his men” with heavy taxes. Indeed according to his own words, from out of the message on the field of economics, these are the main players.
It is completely unlucky from a moral-ethical point of view, that in the text of the message was written the presidential thesis of the experience of the accumulated peanut-sized Chernobyl savings for the construction of the Centre for Radiation Treatment in the town of Gomel. The fact that there is a Centre is good. But must our citizens who are in receipt of benefits due to their medical condition and also for rehabilitation aims, be deprived or, according to the opinion of the president, also be categorized as those people who should “not receive any benefits?”
The further the message went on about putting the social benefit system in order, the harder it became to grasp its content. The following thesis of the message could contradict or fully reject the previous one. For example, the president declared that in Belarus, welfare assistance announced by the state for the people, must be provided to any citizen who has fallen into difficult situation in life. The Chernobyl victims fell into more than just a difficult situation and through no fault of their own. Where is the help being provided to them, where is the state support? The presidential power is niggling, taking from them pitiful “till death” pennies and bragging about having a lot of experience in these affairs.
In the message there sounds a thesis which as an obvious fact means a lowering of the size of the population, that instead of support to separate categories of the population, a mechanism has been introduced for providing assistance to absolutely anyone who is in need of it. In the neighbouring thesis in the message, the president convinces the people that from putting the benefits into order, the majority have won, and the number of people who have received the addressed social assistance has grown more than three times.
Such a flow of information in such an important and responsible document naturally begins to be perceived as a political illusion, in which quite a few reproaches were made in addressing the representatives of parliament, shaking and willing to give in on questions concerning putting the benefit system in order.
But what most of all led the president into fear and indignance was about someone from parliament going to the people, and that “this has to be done”, reported on and explained. The president will not back down, and if someone intends to do this, then it will be without him. We shall not delight in the firmness of the president of Belarus, for perhaps here he will not demonstrate firmness in everything.
We shall note one thing, not having the chance to go deeper into other parts of the message, that the entire text is full of all possible statements about “what we need to do”, “it is necessary for us to…”, “for this, it demands such and such”, etc, and even the conceptual significance of the organizational-rights mechanisms on the realizations of these “have to do’s”
Returning after an aquaintance with the text of the message to the concepts which make up its name, there are full grounds to ascertain that the state health of the bourgeois republic of Belarus is in serious danger. This danger is found in the economic and social stratification of the population of the republic into a wealthy class, middle class, (an unsuccessful term introduced by bourgeois political scientists), those with very little money and on the poverty line.
Nothing is being carried out seriously by the ruling regime in social policy on the leveling the welfare of the people at the level of the so-called middle class. And even on the contrary, tension and conflicts are being stoked up by their hurried and thoughtless decisions.
With the typical for Belarus, like for any bourgeois, exploiter state, social stratification and irreconcilable class antagonisms, one can talk about the well-being of a person with money. For the rest, the state and propaganda machine will stamp the ideological “foolish talk” of the type “Belarus - the state for the people”. On the strength of the named social-class reasons, questions on the achievement of social stability in society and the purposefulness of the nation are removed because the tasks set in the message and the realistic chance of them being solved is virtually zero.
Out of the above said, it does not at all mean that the most deprived worker of hired labour in the present period has to sit and vegetate in expectance of better times. In the inactivity of the working class – there lies the strength of the bourgeois-bloodsuckers. The introduction of market capitalist relations in the republic is the cause of all the present-day troubles of the working people.
Therefore the working class has to carry on a political struggle for the revolutionary revival of socialism. Such a struggle demands unity of actions, unity and organizational skills. But the political struggle often grows out of the economic struggle on the protection of the rights of the working people, and the expansion of these rights, on the improvement of the economic situation of the workers. Therefore, as a first step, it is necessary to simultaneously carry on an economic struggle also. Ideological-political leadership by the workers’ movement is also extremely necessary, which traditionally worked together with the communist movement.

PLANNED GENOCIDE
“In order to stabilize the demographic situation, we will have to destroy 350 thousand people every day”
Ted Turner, American media-mogul

In the middle of May, the whole of Ukraine was shocked to hear the news about the death of 17 year old 11th class Anton Tishenko from a vaccination for measles and rubella. This vaccination is being carried out by order of the Ministry for Health in Ukraine, combined with a vaccine for measles and rubella that is made in India. Prime Minister of Ukraine J. Timoshenko signed the order to begin the unplanned additional vaccination for measles and rubella of the population on 27 February. And in April, 9 million doses of the given vaccine were imported into Ukraine. Namely 9 million people at the age of between 16 and 29 were to be vaccinated. The Ministry for Health (orange minister V. Knyazevich) then, despite the fact that the plan for carrying out the vaccinations was to start at the end of May, they began it right away. Having heard about the tragedy in Kramatorsk, V. Knyazevich cynically noted: “The vaccine is ok. Vaccination must continue. And people are lying in resuscitation because they are in ….hysterics”.
At the same time, there was no Certificate of state registration of this vaccine and neither was any clinical research into this vaccine carried out. Order of the Ministry for Health №48 from 03 February 2006 was violated, by which it states that use is allowed of “only medicines permitted for use in Ukraine” and in Ukraine, and the use of “duel” vaccines which the above vaccine relates to, is banned.
And indeed, scientists and medical experts had warned of the unwillingness and even danger of using the given vaccine. This vaccine is of Asian origin and that when it is used in a person’s organism of European origin, it could bring about incompatibility like that of a blood transfusion. In Ukraine, more than 80% of young people and women have immunity against measles and rubella or have been ill by these diseases. Additional introduction of this virus into these people may damage the nervous system and lead to catastrophic consequences. Measles and rubella contain living strains of the measles and rubella virus. Infection by rubella at the early stages of pregnancy could bring about the most dangerous infection in the future baby, right up to and including deafness, blindness and flaws of the heart. And indeed, the Ministry for Health ordered the carrying out of the vaccination to everyone from the age of 16 to 29 and including pregnant women. In India, following the use of the given vaccine, 4 children died. After that, vaccinations were halted immediately. But here in Ukraine, 100 thousand people had been vaccinated. And here the result is that one person has died and more than 100 people are in a critical condition. As a measles antibody, in measles and rubella there contains a weakened agent of the Edmonston-Zagreb high titre. It is known that after using the given vaccine among baby Africans, further higher death rates were recorded. As a result, the World Health Organization (WHO) refused to use such vaccines and now only uses vaccines with the Swartz standard titre.
But it turns out that whatever is not good for the “civilized world” and even for Africa, can fully be used for Ukraine. It was namely the WHO which was the initiator and gave the order for the given vaccination to be carried out in Ukraine. And not only did it give the order for it to be carried out, but it together with UNISEF gave Ukraine measles and rubella for free, in the form of humanitarian aid. Moreover, UNISEF allocated 5.3 million US dollars towards this, including 300 thousand towards the propaganda campaign.
And when the vaccination, by demand of a public enraged by the death of the boy, was stopped, it was namely the representatives of the WHO that showed great dissatisfaction with the stopping of the vaccination, and called on Ukraine to “fulfill its obligations” and to continue vaccinating.
The fact that the WHO gave the order to carry out the vaccination against measles and rubella, the minister V. Knyazevich himself stated: “We have taken upon ourselves the obligation before the world community to carry out a qualitative and timely vaccination. Indeed today, Ukraine is a source of infection for Europe”. The fact that Ukraine is a source of infection for Europe, the minister, mildly speaking, has lied. According to that same WHO data, Ukraine does not enter into the 47 countries in which the situation demands special attention. And in the remaining, the minister simply let the cat out of the bag. He directly and simply pointed to the organizer of the given vaccination campaign and namely – the World Health Organization (implemented, by the way, on the money of the major pharmaceutical corporations and carried out the testing of the drugs on people, designated for reduction). Having refused to carry out the vaccination, the WHO, nevertheless decided to carry out the experiment on the people of Ukraine, on its youngest section. To carry out an experiment on the survival ability and, knowing the extremely negative consequences of using this vaccine, means to deliver a blow against the gene pool of the people of Ukraine.
All of this fully and completely corresponds to the cannibalistic fascistic plans of the so-called world government, which intends to destroy entire peoples, and firstly the Slav and former Soviet people (according to information by UNICEF, measles and rubella have been “successfully used” in Kyrgyzstan, Albania, Moldavia, Armenia, Azerbaizhan, Kazakhstan, and Latin America, that is, in countries which are not part of the “gold billion”) for providing a prosperous existence of this same notorious “gold billion”.
Among the other sponsors for carrying out the vaccination, were the private fund of the US media mogul Ted Turner (United Nations Foundation) and the Federal Centre of disease control and prevention in the USA (CDC).
Media mogul Ted Turner is well known as one of the apologists of the theory of global warming as being the consequence of overpopulation of the world. He believes the population should be reduced. His views are very simplistic: there are people who are needed, and there are those people who are not needed. Those who are not needed must either die, or not be born. It is to him that namely the following phrase belongs: “In order to stabilize the demographic situation, we have to destroy 350 thousand people every day”. (20.05.2008). Converting this into a year, that would be 127 million 750 thousand people. That is to say, Hitler would be a little baby in a cradle compared to this global cannibal-maniac.
The presence of the CDC in the form of giving the order to carry out this vaccination is also understandable. US imperialism is fighting for world domination. It needs Ukraine, its territory as a launch platform of invading Russia and seizing its natural raw material resources. And thereby, the people of Ukraine are being destroyed, including under noble pretexts about caring for the “health of the nation”. And the CDC implements the control over the results of the vaccination.
The so-called Club of Rome, one of the structures of world Zionism, even before the start of the Gorbachev perestroika – counterrevolution, had planned that for providing the “civilized” West with a prosperous existence and high standards of living, it is necessary, as a form of servility, to significantly reduce the number of Slav people than there are already, and pointed out that the number of Russians should be reduced from 150 million – to 50 million, the number of Ukrainians, from 50 million – to 20 -25 million, Belarusians – from 10 million to 3 million people by nearly the middle of the XXI century. (I want to note here that Margaret Thatcher in general believes that there should only be 15 million Russians used for the extraction of raw materials and the maintaining of oil and gas pipelines, and also nuclear burial sites that are being planned by the West for construction on the territory of Russia).
As we can see, these maniac-style plans of world Zionism are being successfully brought to life. In particular, the population of Ukraine during the years of so-called “independence” has already being reduced by 6 million people, - from 52 to 46 million, and if we take into account the 7 million people who have left the country to work abroad (to work as namely servants), the population of Ukraine already stands at 39 million people. The carrying out by the orange regime of the above vaccination is one of the special operations on the further reduction of the population of Ukraine and developed by the West, with the participation of the WHO and the West under its control.
We see that the orange treacherous leadership headed by President Yushenko, Prime Minister J. Timoshenko and speaker Yatsenyuk, covering up their verbal demagogy about concern for the people, implements a policy of destruction of their own people, and is a puppet in the hands of the imperialist West.
The working class, working people of Ukraine, in order not to be destroyed, and remain masters over their own land, need to rise up to the struggle for overthrowing the orange regime, for overthrowing the power of capital as a whole.

MARKING 55 YEARS SINCE THE STORMING OF THE MONCADA BARRACKS

THE START OF THE CUBAN REVOLUTION

In March 1952 as a result of a military coup in Cuba, General Batista came to power who was a representative of the bourgeois-landowning oligarchy and a protégé of US imperialism.
A group of progressive-minded young people, struggling for the freedom and independence of Cuba, began organizing an underground political organization with the aim of preparing a popular uprising against the tyranny. Young people started joining it, the majority of who were workers, office employees, students and peasants. Fidel Castro, at that time young political activist headed the organization. Fidel’s plan consisted in the taking over of the Moncada barracks in the town of Santiago de Cuba with the aim of arming the people and forming a centre of revolutionary struggle.
The revolutionaries who sacrificed themselves a lot in the material plan, managed to gather enough money to buy 165 weapons (mainly small caliber and hunting rifles). In a state of utmost secrecy, they carried out the necessary military training of the future participators in the uprising, and after that, transported people and weapons from Havana to Santiago de Cuba.
At the dawn of 26 July 1953, around 150 rebels stormed the Moncada Barracks. The regular units of the army of Batista repelled the rebels using up to date weapons. The battle lasted just over two hours. Despite the unprecedented heroism by the revolutionaries, they suffered defeat: the forces were too unequal. A large number of them were captured by Batista soldiers, many savagely killed, and the remaining tried. Fidel Castro was sentenced to 15 years in prison.
At the trial, Castro made a fiery speech, in which he unmasked the crimes of the regime of Batista dictatorship and laid out a plan for the rebels. In the plan, aims were set, for instance the overthrowing of the dictatorship, the destruction of the latifundium (class of landowners) and the transfer of land over to the peasants, the liquidation of the semi-colonial dependence on foreign monopolies, the removal of unemployment, the expansion of real democratic rights of the people. Fidel Castro’s speech which was illegally distributed under the title “History will absolve me” played an important role in the cause of mobilizing the popular masses for the further struggle against the dictatorship.
Whilst in prison, Fidel Castro and his comrades lay down the basis of the new political organization. In honour of those heroic events by the walls of Moncada Barracks, it received the name “The 26th of July Movement”. Under pressure from the civil leaders and other opposition, the tyranny was forced to grant amnesty to the rebels.
The storm of the Moncado Barracks laid down the start of the Cuban revolution which was carried out to victory on 1st January 1959.

APPEAL
of the International Anti-imperialist and People’s Solidarity Coordinating Committee

U.S. military bases, economic sanctions and blockades pose a threat to peace, stability and development on every continent, even where they have not yet inflicted the enormous level of brutality and devastation that major U.S. wars have in Korea, Vietnam, Iraq and Afghanistan.

In Iraq over 1 million have died. More than five million are refugees. U.S. occupation has laid waste to the entire country.

In already impoverished Afghanistan, the U.S./NATO occupation has brought not progress and development but even greater destruction and chaos. NATO has expanded military strikes to Pakistan and militarized the entire region.

Mass opposition to these occupations must grow and grow stronger. But international attention is needed also to stem Washington’s “silent” interventions, which inflict pain and promise chaos.

Foreign troops on a nation’s soil force a surrender of sovereignty. Foreign bases mean constant intervention in a country’s politics and policies, whether these are publicly acknowledged bases or the semi-secret “privatized” U.S. bases called Cooperative Security Locations depending on “contractors.”

The U.S. maintains an intrusive network of military bases in more than 70 countries. New Collective Security Locations are being established in up to 100 other countries.

Today there are U.S. bases and CSLs throughout South and Central Asia along with U.S. / NATO bases in almost every country of Europe – east and west. U.S. military presence and influence in Colombia is the greatest threat to peace and stability in the Western Hemisphere.

Countries that have resisted the basing of foreign troops and bases on their soil, attempted to pursue independent development or resisted the policies imposes by the IMF and international finance capital are increasingly targeted with severe forms of sanctions, economic dislocation and political sabotage.

In a world based on unequal and globalized trade, the threat of U.S. sanctions and blockades is a sentence of underdevelopment and hunger. Sanctions create wrenching economic dislocation and spiraling inflation that strikes the harshest blow on the most defenseless, the poorest, the oldest and the youngest – bringing hunger, malnutrition, sickness and death.
The ever more hostile U.S. blockade of Cuba has continued for 50 years. U.S. sanctions--an act of war--hit Syria, Iran, Sudan, Somalia, Zimbabwe, North Korea, Serbia, and Myanmar among others. Washington’s sanctions are also used to bludgeon others into submission—for fear of suffering the same fate as these U.S. targets.

U.S. military aid and technical assistance creates dangerous influence and causes aggression. U.S. military aid to Israel has fueled 60 years of aggression and suppression against the Palestinian people and neighboring countries that was not otherwise possible. It must be ended.

Washington also demands that the UN Security Council approve international strangulation of targeted countries. Similar U.S. pressure is placed on other countries, on international trade organizations, banks and lending institutions to participate in the economic sabotage.

It is past time to expose these policies before world opinion and mobilize the peoples of the world to combat these attacks on the sovereignty of nations. This task is an urgent responsibility of the progressive movement world-wide.

Already, mass opposition to existing U.S. bases and the building of new bases and basing agreements is growing from Poland, the Czech Republic, to Philippines and Ecuador. Each of these separate movements deserves international support and solidarity.

All U.S. military presence must be removed from Afghanistan, Iraq, Pakistan and from the former Soviet Republics in Central Asia. The escalating threats of attack on Iran must end.

Each battle against sanctions deserves the same support. International solidarity is the best weapon against sanctions-enforced isolation.

Do you want to strengthen the international movement for peace, justice and solidarity? Do you want to help countries defend their sovereignty? Then take the first step.

Join the fight against U.S. bases and sanctions!
